In this episode we go international through a conversation with TikTok & YouTube creator, Jackie Todd. Jackie is a Canadian living in America, who throughout 2020 has used her YouTube experience as a springboard to really take TikTok by storm where she has amassed over 420 thousand followers.
Her array of short videos cover themes such as her experience living in the USA as a Canadian, British culture and clichéd film genres. Jackie has especially gained success through her short films where she acts out comical versions of stereotypical film plots. A real standout being “Every Surfer Girl Movie”, which developed mass appeal across TikTok.
Through their chat, Jackie and Marcus talk about Jackie’s experiences in drama school and how she has brought this into her video making, the new world of TikTok video creation and all the opportunities it has opened up for her.
