#8 Burn After Reading

August 6th, 2020

The Coen Brothers love to take us down avenues we never knew existed and may not exist again once we’ve passed through them, but nevertheless we keep returning to be whisked away on another of their journeys. Burn After Reading is a 2008 release from the beloved directors starring some huge names such as Brad Pitt and George Clooney. With this film receiving mixed reviews from Coen Brothers fans, the time has come for The Glacé Film Club to get their teeth into it.

Callum joins Marcus this week to explore the key elements of this film. They dive into the wacky plot, the oh so dark comedy and of course, those wider themes that surround it. With plenty to discuss and not that much time to do it, the guys dive straight in and get to the heart of what this film is all about.
