#12 The Trial Of The Chicago 7

November 12th, 2020

In this episode we explore a real historical subject matter and who better to take us through 1960s American history? Our resident history teach, Callum. The 2020 release directed by Aaron Sorkin takes us to the heart of a court trial in the late 60s. The city of Chicago had seen unrest during the 1968 Democratic convention and this film depicts the aftermath of these events.

This film really did bring together a cast of big name actors who portray an electric mix of historical indivduals. The courtroom drama genre is explored in many different ways and The Glacé Film Club are here as always to unpick just how that was done.

Expect history, expect big opinions and most of all expect a lot of film goodness.
